Overview
Rahama Wellness Center partners with organisations across Abuja to deliver workplace mental health support: employee assistance programmes, wellness workshops, training for managers, response after a critical incident, and confidential one-to-one counselling for staff. Work is scoped with the employer and delivered by licensed clinicians, either at our centre in Sabon Lugbe or on the employer's own premises.
What an employer actually buys
An employee assistance programme gives your staff a confidential route to a clinician that does not run through HR. Workshops give a whole team the same language for something most workplaces handle badly. Manager training covers the conversation a line manager is most likely to get wrong: noticing that somebody is struggling and saying something useful about it. Critical-incident response is what you call after a death, an accident or a violent event on site.
Confidentiality, and what HR is told
This is the part worth being precise about. Where a member of staff sees a clinician through a programme the employer pays for, the clinical content of those sessions belongs to the member of staff and not to the employer. What an employer receives is aggregate reporting: how much the service was used, not who used it or what they said. An arrangement that worked any other way would not be used by the people who most need it, which would make it a line in a budget rather than a service.
How engagements are scoped
Corporate work does not start with a clinical assessment, because the client is an organisation rather than a person. It starts with a scoping conversation about your headcount, your sector, what has already happened and what you are trying to change. Individual staff who go on to use the service receive the same individual therapy or psychoeducation and wellness coaching any other client would.
What to Expect
-
Scoping call
We talk with whoever owns this internally, usually HR or a managing director, about headcount, sector, what has already happened and what you are trying to change.
-
A written proposal
You get the scope, the clinicians involved, how confidentiality will work and what it costs, before anything is committed.
-
Launch to staff
How the service is introduced decides whether it gets used. We help you explain what it is, and specifically what the employer will and will not be told.
-
Delivery and aggregate reporting
Sessions, workshops or training run to the agreed scope. You receive reporting on uptake and themes, never on individuals.
Who This Is For
This service may help if…
- Absence, turnover or presenteeism is telling you something your exit interviews are not.
- Your managers want to help a struggling colleague and do not know what to say.
- Something has happened on site and your team needs support this week, not next quarter.
- You offer staff a wellbeing benefit nobody uses, and you suspect they do not trust it.
- You are growing quickly and want support in place before you need it.
Our approach
We scope the work with the organisation and deliver it to the individual, and we keep those two things separate. Employers get aggregate reporting on uptake and themes; clinicians keep the content of every session with the member of staff it belongs to. That boundary is what makes a workplace programme something people actually use.
